Cat. No: E-009 Molecular mass: 20 kDa Description: Staphopains are typical cysteine proteinases with a papain-like fold, despite low similarity to this enzyme at the level of the primary structure. The role of staphopain in physiology and virulence if staphocicci is obscure but they tight regulation as well as structure and enzyme kinetics are already well known. Form: Lyophilized from 25 mM sodium acetate pH 5.5 containing 100 mM NaCl & 0.5 mM EDTA. Purity: More than 95% tested by FPLC and SDS-PAGE. Protein content was estimated on a base of theoretical absorbance at 280 nm calculated from molar extinction coefficients of tryptophan, tyrosine and cysteine (1.0 per 1 mg/ml). Activity: Reference: Potempa J. & Travis J., in: Handbook of Peroteolytic Enzymes 2nd Edn. Elsevier 2004, 1249-1253. Price: 0.1 mg @ 120 EURO Attention: Recommended storage temperature: - 20 deg. C. To each order additional charge 40 Euro have to be added for required fast delivery service. Disclaimier: All human products were prepared from whole human blood shown to be non reactive for anti-HBs, anti-HCV, anti-HBc and anti-HIV1 & 2, as assayed by FDA approved tests.
